Know your brands when thrifting -- Part 1

One reason to thrift is to save money. Another is older clothes tend to be higher quality.


Brands owned by big box stores cycle in and out over a few years. We have seen thrift stores try to sell these items for more than what they were brand new. Some even try to pass some of these items off as "vintage" as they are over 20 years old. To use the term that once represented a higher level of quality, you need to be more diligent. Vintage now can be used to describe items made in the 90's and early 2000's.


We will post what to look for in thrift garments and tags later to check for quality. For now, don’t get duped and overpay for pre-loved:
